MEET JR TUPA'I

Jr has always been devoted to serving our community. He currently serves as senior pastor of OFC, a small local church in Panaewa. Prior to pastoring Jr was an instructor with the Hawaiʻi National Guard Youth Challenge Academy for 13 cycles. He helped with the inception and development of the program during former Governor Abercrombie and Adjutant General Kim’s administration when the program started at Kulani. The program served 16-18-year-old at-risk youth in Hawaiʻi, which was always something Jr loved to do. Along with helping the youth in that capacity, Jr also coached football at Kamehameha School and Hilo High School, respectively, for 10 seasons. Jr received his B. A and M. A from Washington State University while playing football for the Cougars.

Through years of experience in teaching, coaching, and countless hours of community service Jr has remained committed to creating meaningful and positive change in the lives of local families, kūpuna, and our youth throughout Hawaiʻi.

As a candidate for Hawai‘i County Council District 5, Jr is stepping forward with a renewed purpose to serve his community in a greater capacity. His passion, dedication, and commitment to the community drive his vision for a better Hawaiʻi.

Mahalo for your support and consideration in making Jr Tupa’i your next County Councilman for District 5.
